Experience
I have about nine years experience teaching undergraduate psychology courses at two universities. As a graduate student instructor, I received teaching awards at both Appalachian State University and Texas Tech University. I find teaching to be an incredibly rewarding endeavor. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping students achieve that "aha!" moment when they suddenly understand a difficult concept or topic. I also love helping students become proficient consumers of psychology so they can make informed decisions throughout their lives.

Hobbies
In my "off" time, I enjoy playing and cuddling with my kitties. I also try to volunteer with organizations that find new homes for cats and kittens whenever I can. I especially enjoy bottle-feeding orphaned kittens that have lost their mothers. Otherwise, I enjoy watching movies (probably stemming from my initial career as a manager of movie theaters). I also love to read both fiction and nonfiction. Finally. of course, I love to go out for a nice cup of coffee!
